We are part of the Church of Christ in Christian Union denomination with headquarters in Circleville, Ohio. If you are unfamiliar with this group it might be helpful for you to know that we are Wesleyan Armenian in theology and would be very similar to a Wesleyan or Nazarene church. We are a church of 350+ in a.m. worship located in rural Southwest Ohio in a community of approximately 1200 population. Our church has developed a regional ministry that attracts people for all directions in a twenty to thirty mile radius. Over the past twenty years we have grown from a single cell church of one hundred that was basically lay led to a multiple cell church that is staff led. We have moved from an inward focus to an outward focus in ministry programming and our passion to reach families that need Jesus continues to intensify. We have an attractive worship center seating between 275-300, a gymnasium, and we have just completed a very impressive 6000 s.f. Children’s Ministry Center that is going to be an invaluable asset in helping us reach the next 100 kids. Ultimately, as the Lord helps us to grow, we will relocate to 36 acres we purchased about five years ago. Our HistoryFrom a small meeting of people gathering in an abandoned blacksmith shop on South Street, the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union was first organized...Our present pastor, Dan Harrison, came to Winchester in July of 1982...
Our MissionThe Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union exists today to live out the Great Commandment (Loving God) and the Great Commission (Loving People). God has strategically placed us here to impact the tri-counties of Adams, Brown and Highland, our denomination and then the larger world...
